Product Description
The BCB Fireball Flint and Striker was originally designed and developed as the first fire lighting flint and striker for the British Military. Since it was invented in the 1980's, it has never been surpassed.
The Fireball Flint and Striker will, when used correctly, light many thousands of fires and will work in some of the harshest conditions you will find in the outdoors. BCB Fire Starters are used throughout the world by military and outdoor enthusiasts.
The Flint of the Fire Ball Flint and Striker has been specially designed and developed with an alloy of magnesium and aluminum creating a shower of sparks on every strike. This fire starter is truly amazing to see in action. The shower of sparks created by the BCB Fireball Flint and Striker can reach 3000 degrees.
It will likely be easier to strike if you detach the striker from the flint, which you can easily achieve by unhooking the chain. The BCB Fire Ball Flint and Striker Fire Starter is durable and dependable and is ideal for lighting camp fires, stoves, and signaling in an emergency situation due to its extreme bright, and very hot, sparks.
BCB Fireball Flint and Striker Fire Starter:
Gather dry tinder (readily flammable like straw, cotton, wool, paper etc.), build a small pile. Ensure your next larger fuel is handy. Try more paper or larger sticks.
Grip the Fireball Fire Starter firmly with one hand. Hold the striker in the other hand. Place the bottom of the fireball next to your tinder.
Firmly strike the steel down the fireball showering the sparks onto the tinder without disturbing the tinder. Practice this a few times away from the tinder first. You will find with practice that forcing the striker down slowly is better than rapid movements as it creates less disturbance on the tinder. With practice, you will find that the large amount of extremely hot sparks will easily produce a fire.
Fire Starter Safety - Please be careful lighting fires with the Fireball Flint and Striker Fire Starter, or any fire starter for that matter. Lighting them in the wrong place, or at the wrong time, can cause an even bigger emergency and lots of damage. Only light fires where they can be controlled and will not spread. Only light fires where you have permission.
Fire is a vital part of safety and survival. Fire is not only used for warmth, cooking and improving moral, but it can also be used for signaling and defense.
Always clean up your campfire and site after use. Never leave a camp fire unattended. "Leave no trace."
