Greenheat Gelfuel is an alternative fuel source to electricity, paraffin, methylated spirits, LPG, wood and dung and a very efficient fire starter as well. It is made from Ethanol which is derived from sugar cane and other renewable agricultural sources. Gelfuel Eco Fuel is renewable, safe, clean, non toxic, non explosive, environmentally friendly and efficient. Greenheat Gelfuel has a wide variety of applications.

Greenheat Gelfuel Firestarter comes in 1oz (35ml) packets designed for single use applications. We offer the Greenheat Gelfuel Packets in boxes of (12). It is designed to be used either as a fire starter, or the primary source of fire when it comes to heating or cooking. GreenHeat Gelfuel is versatile, inexpensive and best of all, eco friendly.

Gelfuel can be used in numerous cooking stoves which have a fuel crucible which will contain a fluid. Many of these same stoves, like the BCB Crusader Stove, will use either Greenheat Gelfuel or Esbit Tabs (hexamine tabs) to produce the heat needed for cooking.

To use Greenheat GelFuel as a fire starter, simply: (1) Tear the Greenheat Packet on the tear marks. (2) Squeeze adequate gel fuel over a base layer of charcoal or wood. (3) Place packet on the layer. (4) Build a pyramid around the packet ensuring ample circulation. (5) Light the exposed gelfuel. (6) Add more charcoal or wood as required.

Safe

The fuel is a gel and therefore does not spill like liquid fuels, such as paraffin. Water can be used on spilled gelfuel to put the fire out. The gel can then be removed and reused by scraping it up. The Greenheat Gelfuel is non flare, non explosive, non splash and non toxic.

Clean

The gelfuel burns clean and odorless, producing only very low CO2 emissions and water vapour. It can be used indoors and near children and pets as it does not pollute. The problem with other products, like paraffin, is that they are poisonous and can cause asthma. No black soot or smoke is emitted, thus pots and pans stay clean and food is not tainted.

Efficient

Greenheat Gelfuel can be extinguished and reused and each packet burns for about 20 minutes.

The gel is made from renewable agricultural sources rather than fossil fuels/deforestation and burns clean (ie CO2 neutral).
