The Gerber Sportsman's Saw has a coarse blade that is a natural for cutting wood. This makes the Gerber Sports Saw a perfect tool for building survival shelters, cutting survival fire wood or simply being ready for use around the camp ground. Its small size, 7 3/4" closed, makes it suitable for any medium to large survival kit, pack or bag, thus always being seconds away from use.

The extremely sharp and durable blade of the Gerber Sportsman's Wood Saw is 6.31" long and has the ability to retract completely inside the rugged handle, with a clean sliding action.

The Gerber Sportsman's Saw, or Pack Saw, cuts up to 1/3 faster than ordinary saws of this size. A handier, more efficient saw than the Gerber Sportsman's Saw simply does not exist.

A survival saw of some sort is highly recommended for any survival kit. For smaller kits, we recommend the NATO Commando Wire saw. However, the larger and longer the saw, usually the easier it is to use. The Sportsman's Wood Saw is large enough for ease of use, small enough to store away easily, durable, usable and inexpensive.
